Beliefs

What we believe.

We hold to the historic Christian faith as expressed in the early creeds and shared by the broader evangelical tradition. The short version is below. The shorter version: Jesus is Lord, the Bible is true, and every sunrise is His.

God

We believe in one God, eternally existing in three persons — Father, Son, and Holy Spirit — who created the heavens and the earth, who rules over all things, and who made the world good.

Scripture

We believe the Bible — both Old and New Testaments — is the inspired Word of God, fully trustworthy in everything it teaches. It is our highest authority for faith and life.

Jesus

We believe Jesus Christ is fully God and fully man, born of a virgin, who lived a sinless life, died on a cross to take away the sin of the world, rose bodily on the third day, ascended to the Father, and will return to make all things new.

Salvation

We believe salvation is the free gift of God, received by grace through faith in Jesus Christ alone — not by anything we earn, achieve, or wear.

The Church

We believe in the universal Church — the family of all who trust in Christ — and in the value of local, gathered congregations. We're a brand, not a church; if you don't have one, find a faithful one near you.

Creation & stewardship

We believe the world is God's good gift, entrusted to us as stewards — not as owners, not as exploiters, and not as observers. The mountains, rivers, trails, and tablelands belong to Him; we're the borrowers. So we try to leave it better than we found it.

“ The earth is the Lord's, and everything in it, the world, and all who live in it. ”
— Psalm 24:1

A note on tone

We try to write so a curious neighbor would feel welcome and a longtime believer would feel at home. If a phrase here ever feels off — too soft, too sharp, too clever — please tell us. We'd rather get the tone right than get the words clever.
